This summer many events that are typically held in Ashe County were postponed or cancelled due to Covid-19 and the Governor Cooper’s orders to limit events that are going to have more than 50 people attending. Still, even with the changes to the typical plans because of the pandemic, life has continued to feel the same for many of Ashe County’s residents and homeowners. Residents continue to be vigilant in protecting themselves and the community’s most vulnerable people by promoting social distancing, hand washing and the wearing of masks as mandated by the state. There really is no better place to be during the pandemic then in a location that makes it easy to enjoy the outdoors and practicing social distancing. We have compiled a shortlist of common activities that are still taking place in the community.
