The 26th annual Very Special Arts Festival comes to Ashe County on Friday, April 15.  The project is sponsored by the Ashe County Arts Council and is funded in part by a Grassroots Arts Program Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council.

This special event includes hands-on art activities, music, colorful student exhibits, jugglers, clowns, and a day of fun for exceptional students and adults. In the United States, more than one million people with physical and mental challenges participate in Very Special Arts activities.

Featured performers for this year’s festival include Chaz, the Magician, Dale Brook, the Magical Minstral, the Balloon Lady, and Interactive Theatre by Jef. Very Special Arts Festival volunteers include Art Department students from Ashe County High School under the direction of Amber Dillingham and Katherine Greene.  Call 846-ARTS for more information.

Century 21 can help you find that beautiful piece of land to call home and be your inspiration for your own very special art.  We support and highly recommend this Ashe County Arts Council event.
