The Ashe Arts Center will be the site of a concert by singer songwriter Laurelyn Dossett on Saturday evening, March 19 at 7:30 pm.

Laurelyn Dossett lives and writes in the Piedmont of North Carolina, and her songs tend to reflect the stories of the region. Her sound is rooted in traditional Appalachian music but she approaches her songwriting with an eye on the future. She is a storyteller at heart, writing for Grammy-winning artists Levon Helm and the Carolina Chocolate Drops, as well as for multiple stage, film, and television projects.

Tickets are available in advance or at the door, $12 for adults and $5 for students. Call the Ashe County Arts Council at 336.846-2787 for tickets or more information.
